He rose through the ranks to managing director in a number of mines. Mr Philemon Mvura worked in industry before he moved to lecturing at Midlands State University. Vastly experienced IFRS specialist. Has written many booklets on Zimbabwe taxes and financial reporting. Has produced many accountancy graduates some of whom are now partners in many audit firms.
