Dr. Reynolds Tendai Muza has more than twenty five years of professional experience. He has a number of professional Accounting designations, including some of the leading Global qualifications such as Chartered Accountant (England and Wales), Chartered Public Finance Accountant (CIPFA) UK; Chartered Certified
Accountant (FCCA) (UK), CPA qualification. In addition, he is a member of Chartered Insurance Institute of UK. He graduated from University of South Africa (UNISA) before proceeding with training at PWC in Zimbabwe. Reynolds has extensive experience in Audit, Tax, Advisory, Professional Training and
Education earned in Southern Africa and he is also a Digital Forensics Specialist
He has attended professional conferences in Europe and in the United
States of America. Whilst at PwC, he was seconded to Malawi and South Africa. He has significant public sector and private sector financial reporting experience as well as experience for large corporations including audit work in large banks. He has good understanding of banking operations including bank risk management and financial reporting.
He carried out a number of investigations into banking institutions on behalf of Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe. Dr R T Muza rose to become the Vice Chairman of the Public Accountants and Auditors Board (PAAB). The PAAB is the Regulator and Oversight body of the audit profession in Zimbabwe and the only body that grants practicing rights in Zimbabwe. Reynolds is an ex Grant Thornton partner. He left Grant Thornton to establish Ralph Bomment Greenacre & Reynolds which is a Correspondent Firm of RSM International, one of the top 7 largest network firms in the World. At Grant Thornton he was on the International Financial Reporting Standards World-wide panel. He is probably one of very few Chartered Public Finance Accountants (CIPFA) in Zimbabwe and who has actually implemented IPSAS to local authorities. CIPFA is the only professional body for Public Sector Accounting and Finance professionals which is a member body of International Federation of Accountants (IFAC). Up to 2017, he was the country representative of a Forensics Institute of Canada. Dr Muza is a presenter of many topics at conferences covering auditing issues, financial reporting, public sector financial reporting/ IPSAS, insurance, corporate governance and insolvency. He speaks English, Shona, Ndebele, Nyanja, some Swahili and a few other languages.
